International Shipping Update

For all the locations that aren't US, CA, AU, and NZ (and minus a few people that I'll talk about below) you should have received your games by now.  If you haven't please let me know and I'll contact Hero Time about status.

This is true for all international backers except those that didn't pay or update their addresses until mid-August.  But good news, I turned that backer information into Hero Time yesterday for those backers which means that they'll get shipped out in the next week.  Hopefully you'll receive the games by early October.

US / CA / AU / NZ Shipping Update

The games arrived at the warehouse/shipper on the West Coast a few days ago.  I've given them the backer information sheet and they're working through the details.  The games should get shipped out to the individual addresses starting next week.  I don't have estimates for arrival dates yet, but I imagine that it'll be before the end of the month.  If something is radically different, I'll let you know.

Achievements!!!

If you're like me, you love knocking out achievements on computer games.  I can't program the card game to have achievements, but I did make this document of achievements that you can strive to beat.  The list is on my website, or if you want to go directly to the achievement sheet, you can click here.

And speaking of achievements, if you have a particularly epic game, or beat the Circle of Scale scenario, or really any game that you thought stood out, I'd love to hear about it.

I recently had an epic game when my son and his girlfriend came to Colorado to visit.  We beat the Infernal Invasion by building up Claire's forge to high numbers (using Alex's spells and activations to keep it climbing) and burning down the enemies before they could overwhelm us.  We managed to win with all four players in the single digits of health.

Aura Healers Hall Kickstarter

The latest Hundred Halls series is currently live on Kickstarter.  This is the second series of Season Two (Champions of the Hundred Halls was based on all the Season One books) which is about the healer hall and all the supernatural shenanigans that occur.

It's only live for another few days, so swing on by and pick up a copy of the series before the Kickstarter is over.  The price of the books will only go up when they hit the online retailers.

That's everything for now.  Please contact me if you have any questions or want to give feedback on the game or anything else about the process.

Shipping, Shipping, Shipping & More!

Before I get to the latest information on shipping, I have a few other things to present...

Aura Healers Hall Kickstarter

The newest Hundred Halls series is coming to Kickstarter next week!  This will be the eighth series in the Hundred Halls Universe, and second of season two.  Here's a little bit about the Aura Healers Hall Kickstarter Campaign:

Do you love snarky heroes who can't help but get into trouble?

Are you down for the wild things that happen in a supernatural hospital between residents, doctors, and their patients?

Do you want to see a modern medical drama like Grey's Anatomy but with supernatural creatures and magic?

Then you'll love the Aura Healers Hall series!

Check out the Kickstarter when it launches next Monday (Aug 19th)!  We'll have eBooks, paperbacks, and hardcovers available as well as special stretch rewards!

Outflanked: A Love, Lies, and Hocus Pocus Themed Game

I have a special treat for all of you readers/gamers out there.  My friends Lydia and David Sherrer have released a second game based on the Love, Lies, and Hocus Pocus books.  Here's a little bit about the Kickstarter (which will also be launching next week):

Outflanked is a quick, family-friendly game of territory takeover with visuals and theme inspired by Lydia Sherrer’s bestselling Love, Lies, and Hocus Pocus Universe novels. Whether against one, two, or three opponents, you must show your mastery of spatial tactics and forward-thinking strategy to guard your flanks, anticipate your foes, and ultimately dominate the board. Check out our Kickstarter and be one of the first to receive this game to find out who will emerge the champion, and who will be outflanked!

This is their second game on Kickstarter.  Their first one did very well and you can be sure they will have a great game at a great price, and meet their delivery schedule.

Shipping, Shipping, Shipping

Hooray!  Champions of the Hundred Halls has shipped!  Since there are two different logistical routes, I'll update them separately.

United States / Canada / Australia / New Zealand

For these countries, the bulk of the games have been sent by container ship to our warehouse partner on the west coast.  The shipment is scheduled to arrive around Sept 9th.  Once it reaches the warehouse, they'll have to repack them for individual shipments to the countries listed above (US/CA/AU/NZ).  It should roughly take 2-4 weeks to arrive at the address you provided (longer for the AU/NZ destination) which means we'll be hitting our scheduled October 2024 target exactly (or possibly beating it)!

Europe / Asia / Rest of the World

For the rest of the destinations, minus a couple that I'll go over in the next paragraph, the games were shipped directly from Hero Time in China.  I don't have the location by location target dates, but generally, they should be arriving in September at the latest, and some might even arrive as early as late August.  If something changes, I'll update you, but I don't expect that to happen.

Not ALL the games were shipped out from Hero Time.  There were a couple of stragglers that didn't get me their shipping information until after we'd paid and sent the shipping information to Hero Time.  Don't worry, you'll get your games eventually, but due to the processing fees and other logistics issues, I can't set up shipping for one and twos.  I'll need to wait until we get a few more of the stragglers before I can organize another shipment with Hero Time.  At this moment, it only affects two people.  So as long as you got me the information before August 6th, you should be fine.  And for those two (and any of the other last few missing addresses), the game will reach you a month later than the first group.  This doesn't affect the US/CA/AU/NZ group since there's still one more step before they get sent to the final destinations.

That's it for now!  Let me know if you have any questions.  We can't wait for you to get the games!  We're super pumped.

All the best,

Tom & Rachel

Final Steps & Locking Addresses

Locking Addresses

Hello.  I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  Hero Time is almost finished with production for Champions of the Hundred Halls, which means we'll be ready for shipping next week.  I sent a message through BackerKit notifying you that I'll be locking addresses in two days.  This will ensure that nothing changes in the short time that I communicate with the manufacturer about shipping destinations.  If you think something might change after that lock date, just message me directly by email or through Kickstarter and I can manually adjust your address.

No Address / Card Charge Error

I still have a handful of missing addresses and some people that have a card charge error when paying for shipping.  If you want to make sure you receive your game on time, I will need these to be fixed.  If you're having trouble with the BackerKit system, or your bank, you can contact me separately and we can work out payment through other means.  I won't be able to ship to you unless both of these are in good condition.

The next communication you should receive from us will be an estimate on arrival.  For US/CA/NZ/AU the game will arrive at a warehouse in the US first before moving on to its final destination, while all other locations will be shipped directly from China.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected].

All the best,

Tom & Rachel

Missing Surveys & Charging Cards
about 2 months ago – Fri, Jul 19, 2024 at 12:08:00 PM

We're down to the final few processes before we can move to shipping.  One thing that will impact receiving your product is whether or not you've filled out your survey.  I have fourteen missing addresses that I'll need to ensure you get your copy of Champions of the Hundred Halls.  The following people need to fill out a survey:

  • KH
  • Matthew W.
  • Anita P.
  • Kyle M.
  • Tim O.
  • Totl
  • James P.
  • New D.
  • Zack E.
  • Anthony C.
  • Shayne W.
  • Matt A.
  • Sebastian M.
  • Richard K.

Go to this link to fill out a survey or message me at [email protected] if you're having problems.

Lastly, we'll be charging credit cards next week and begin the process of sending shipping information to Hero Time for all non-US/CA/AU/NZ address.  For the US/CA/AU/NZ addresses, the products will come to a warehouse in the US before getting shipping to the final destination.  This is the most cost effective way for you to receive your product.  Hopefully, the next update is to inform you that the games have been shipped from Hero Time.

All the best,

Locking Orders in 48 Hours!!

Locking Orders in 48 Hours!!

We're working through the shipping information from Hero Time this week, so I thought it was time to lock down the orders.  You can still update your shipping information at any time, but you can't change your order once BackerKit locks it down.

I'll also be locking down the pre-order page around the same time, so if you know anyone who wants to get an order in, now is the time.  When we start selling the extra games on our Shopify store, it won't be for the low Kickstarter price.  It'll at least be 20% higher, or more depending (and not counting shipping).

As for shipping prices, I haven't finalized them yet, but I know that the initial information is higher than what we received last year due to the increased cost of logistics.  Right now, I'm waiting on the bulk delivery cost from China to the US warehouse to complete the shipping costs in BackerKit.  Once that's in and the orders are locked, we'll move to charging cards which will likely happen next week.
